If you wander around on social media for even a few minutes, you will see a continual barrage of statements claiming that what we're experiencing regarding climate isn't new. "The climate has always been changing" is a common refrain. "It's been warmer at times in the past", say others.
Yes, the climate HAS always changed, but new research adds more support to the scientific view that the RATE of change is very unusual, and that rapid change is partly what's causing our current problems. Problems which are only going to get worse.

Pretend it isn't happening, but the evidence continues to grow. We have seen the problem and it is us.
