Snippets from the Attempted Insurrection

It's February 17th, 2022.  The Attempted Insurrection in Ottawa is now over the 3-week mark.

This is a timeline from start to now:

Apparently one DQ franchise decided to get in on the action:  Reaction was, predictably, mixed.  I have already decided not to support certain businesses because they seem to believe they can flout public health orders.

Outbursts from tamper-tantrum throwing "adults" pop up on a random basis.  This is a recent one from Oliver, BC.  The tattooed anti-vaxxer was caught on video and later fined with other charges possible related to racist epithets hurled at some students.

For any claiming terrible psychological trauma being visited on kids because of masks, we might consider this:

Or, in the case of Oliver students, attacks from deranged nutcases.

I'd suggest professional psychological intervention for Silke.  Poor dear.  Some are calling her Truck Convoy Karen.  A real shame.  She obviously had a future as a piece of tattoo artistry.  She's an anti-vaxxer, probably subscribing to fake stories about the dangers of COVID vaccines.  I wonder if she knows of the possible risks from tattoo ink?

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Canada, the blockade at the Coutts border crossing was taken down after 13 people were arrested.  Some details about the arrested people were made available today.  A fine, upstanding young bunch, from what we can tell.

Earlier details about those arrested and the charges they are facing is in this article.

The Federal government has brought in the Emergencies Act.  It still astounds me what actions a government can take, even in a democracy, to maintain law and order.  It reminds me of the various militia organizations in the USA, ostensibly in place to guard against government tyranny.  My feeling is that if push came to shove, those militias would be nothing more than cinders once the Marines were finished with them.

In Ottawa, blockades are going up.  Police blockades this time.  The time for fraternizing with the terrorists seems to be over.  Incompetence has to give way to action.

And, for the record, one article addressing any possible concerns some might still have about the vaccines.

More to come.
