In Tuesday's election, DonOLD Trump and his Republican cult members scored a big win. Since the trajectory of the next four years seems pretty clear, it will be interesting to follow up on the various claims made by Trump about his plans for the next administration.
I'm going to start with this article: Trump Policies - Seven things he says he will do as president
The article itself goes into a few details about each promise, so I will only list them here, following up over the coming months.
- Deport undocumented migrants.
- Moves on economy, tax and tariffs
- Cut climate regulations
- End Ukraine war
- No abortion ban
- Pardon some Jan 6 rioters
- Sack special counsel Jack Smith
Many of these appear, on the surface, to be difficult to carry out. For instance, the logistical and legal challenges of deporting possibly millions of people. Or cutting inflation, considering that a political leader has little influence over that.
Those concerned about the prospects over the next four years have already mentioned Project 2025. Trump claims he knows nothing about this. That's hard to believe considering how many of his current and former advisors are involved in the project.
Since the USA and the rest of the world will now be inflicted with this person for another four years, it will be important to keep score.
